Boyce: Heskey will be Fab for England

Emmerson Boyce has backed Latics team-mate Emile Heskey to make an
impact for England.
Heskey is hoping to play a part in tonight's friendly against the Czech Republic at Wembley, having been recalled to the international fold after almost a year's absence.
The 30-year-old has Wayne Rooney, Jermain Defoe and Theo Walcott for competition up front, and Fabio Capello is likely to try to run the rule over them all with the start of the World Cup qualifying campaign just around the corner.
Boyce believes Heskey is well worthy of his place in Capello's squad.
He told the Evening Post: "Emile is so under-rated but you'll find most defenders don't like playing against him because he's big and strong.
"Sometimes he gets criticised for not scoring as many goals as he should, but he brings so many other things to the team.
"Maybe he is too unselfish at times, but he's such an honest player.
"It's great to see him back in the England squad and he could be ideal for how Capello likes to play with one main striker.
"When he played the two games last year, he dominated against the centre-backs and hopefully can do the same this time.
"I hope he gets his chance tonight – everyone at Wigan will be really chuffed for him if he does."
Latics boss Steve Bruce said: "Emile deserves his call-up – if you want a big target man type who works tirelessly for the team, than he's the one.
"You'll find other strikers like Michael Owen and Wayne Rooney enjoy playing alongside Emile. I'm sure Mr Capello must be thinking of using him for the World Cup qualifiers, otherwise why recall him?"
Bruce is just hoping Heskey comes back in one piece in time to resume training with Latics on Friday morning.
Yesterday, he got Lee Cattermole back earlier than expected after the midfielder pulled out of the England Under-21 squad with a slight ankle injury.
Antonio Valencia also didn't travel to meet up with the Ecuador squad for the friendly against Colombia in New York.
But six others – Wilson Palacios, Maynor Figueroa, Jason Koumas, Kevin Kilbane, Amr Zaki and Henri Camara – are in action for their
countries tonight.
Bruce isn't happy with the timing of the season's first round of international games, saying: "We're only five days into the new season and already we're losing players.
"Why not play these games before the season started? It's frustrating to say the least.
"The biggest worry for me are the two Honduran lads who are playing in Mexico City tonight, so they are not going to be back until late in the week."
