Burglars armed with a knife raid a Wigan property

A homeowner was terrorised at knifepoint after burglars in Covid masks forced their way into a Wigan home.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the aggravated burglary in Langton Place in Standish, at around 8.15pm on Monday October 17.

Two men were barged their way into the house past the homeowner, threatening them with a knife.

The intruders took numerous valuables and fled on foot.

Greater Manchester Police are appealing for the public’s help to identify the two men in question.

The first man is described as white, around 6ft 1ins tall, of muscular build, wearing a tracksuit, dark trainers, a Covid mask and gloves carrying a large blue/grey rucksack.

His accomplice was described as white, about 6ft tall, of stocky build, wearing a dark blue tracksuit, dark coloured trainers, a Covid mask and gloves.
