Crown court hearing for Wigan man accused of murder

A Wigan man will appear before a judge tomorrow accused of murdering a mother of four.

Dana Abdullah, 35, of no fixed address, has been charged with the murder of Avan Najmadeen.

Avan, 32, was found at her home on Glebedale Road, in Fenton, Stoke-on-Trent, at around 5pm on Monday last week.

A post-mortem examination revealed she had died as a result of multiple stab wounds.

A 33-year-old man from Wigan also arrested on suspicion of murder has been released with no further action, while a 33-year-old man from Liverpool was released under investigation.
