Alexander Williams,of Boden Street, Lowton, pleaded guilty at Wigan Magistrates’ Court to having 72 microgrammes of alcohol in 100ml of his breath.

The 23-year-old was stopped by police in his Vauxhall Corsa on Twist Lane, Leigh, on August 1.

The legal limit is 35 microgrammes of alcohol per 100ml of breath.

Williams must also pay court costs and a victim surcharge totalling £239.
