Former Wigan prop Quentin Pongia will return to his former Australian club, Canberra Raiders, next year to join the club's coaching staff.
Pongia has been living in the Wigan area and working as a personal trainer since ending his decorated playing career.

The former New Zealand captain will link up with former Canberra and Wigan team-mate David Furner, the new Raiders coach, in 2009 to take up a job as Canberra's rehabilitation officer.

Pongia, recently linked with a return to Wigan, will also double as their reserve team's strengthe and conditioning coach.

"I can't wait to get back to the green machine and get involved back in the NRL," said Pongia.

"It will be over 10 years since I've stepped foot back in Canberra."
